2024 Tornado Europeans – Day 1

One day follows the next and no two days are the same. In Saint-Pierre-Quiberon, where the European Tornado Championship 2024 will be held, the wind is playing with the nerves of the race committee and the sailors. Two and a half hours later, however, with very pleasant wind conditions between 5 and 10 knots for two first races. Lots of wind shifts made for challenging conditions.

Yoann Trecul and Thomas Ferrand (France) took the first win of the day. However, the competition is on its guard, as the Belgian father-daughter duo won the first race of the championship by a considerable margin. Congratulations to Jan and Marie Coppens.

At the end of the first day, the Czechs Zdenek Pavlis and Klara Pavlisova also put in a very strong performance and are currently in 3rd place.
