Tornado Legends Dominate the F18 World Championship
The Tornado class once again proved its lasting influence at the F18 World Championship, with former Tornado World Champions Brett Burvill and Max Puttman claiming an impressive overall victory. Their win highlights the depth of talent developed within the Tornado fleet and the class’s continued relevance at the highest levels of international multihull racing.
Adding to the Tornado legacy, another iconic Tornado partnership, Darren Bundock and Glenn Ashby, delivered a standout performance to finish third overall against a world-class F18 fleet.
Remarkably, four top Tornado sailors featured across the top three teams at the F18 Worlds, underlining the exceptional standard of sailors produced by the Tornado class and its ongoing impact across modern high-performance catamaran racing.
