Tornado Class Regatta at Lake Achensee
Our fleet gathered at Lake Achensee, Austria, for another spectacular regatta in one of Europe’s most scenic sailing venues. Surrounded by the Alps, the event offered challenging conditions with shifting winds, strong gusts and constantly changing tactics.
Despite several abandoned races due to unstable wind conditions, the sailors completed a competitive series that rewarded consistency and teamwork. The regatta once again demonstrated the high level of competition within the Tornado class, with close racing throughout the fleet.
The overall podium was:
🥇 Marcel Steiner / Ben Steiner (SUI)
🥈 Thomas Jessenig / Stefan Jessenig (AUT)
🥉 Jens Blum / Rupert Fritz (AUT)
Fourth place went to Dominik Kopp / Florian Kopp (AUT), followed by Markus Betz / Almut S. (GER) in fifth.
Congratulations to all competitors for their excellent sailing, and a big thank you to Segelclub TWV Achensee, the race committee, volunteers, and everyone involved in organizing another successful Tornado event.
