New Mixed-Team Markus Betz and Monica Schuster are the 44th Alpencup winners, lake Forggensee
Report from Jurgen Jentsch
We sailed 4 races mostly in light air, warm and sunny weather with 13 Tornados from Germany, Austria and Poland.
The Sailing Club Füssen Forggensee (SCFF) is the Club with one of the oldest Tornado fleets in Germany (since 1969).
The hospitality with a lot of Bavarian beer from a wooden barrel, lovely Italian roast and a nice dessert were perfect touches to the end of a successful sailing day.
All participants received a Bavarian cheese board from the Schönegger Cheesalm and for the top ranked there were many prizes in form of equipment from our sponsor Aquatic Sport, an Online-shop in Pfronten,
The winner overall, after 4 races was the new Mixed-Team Markus Betz with Monica Schuster (1,2,3,2) 8 points from Lake Constanz.
2nd another mixed team from the Tcheck Republic Zdenek, Pavlis with his 15 year old daughter Michaela Pavlisova (2,3,2,6), 13 points
The Ex-European Champion and German A-Class Champion Bob Baier and his 18 year old son Marc did very well with two 1sts, a 7th, and only one mistake with a OSC in the first race (they lost a 4th), 23 points.
A very positive aspect of this regatta was that this time, we had 4 young teenagers crewing on the Tornado!
