One of the most beautiful raids in France took place, in the middle of a unique playground in the Gulf of Morbihan and its 59 islands 18. The “CATAGOLFE” brought together 120 multihulls.
Nine Tornados participated, including one all-female crew.
Superb conditions, a Saturday in the sun with a long course in the Auray river with 10 to 15 knots of southwest then a tour of the “Ile aux Moines” with an increasing wind at 15 to 20 knots. Sunday, a darker and more humid sky with an exit of the gulf to the “Sud Méaban”.
In terms of results, the Tornado still saved its rating in C1 (center-board catamaran) against more recent boats (F16, Nacra 20 carbon, etc.).
In the standings, Yoann Trecul and Thomas Ferrand are first, Guillaume Dupont and David Burban second, and there are 5 Tornadoes in the first seven places.
The next meeting is the Armistice Grand Prix tomorrow the 11th of November in the “Médoc”.
