Day two with light winds on the Italian Coast
2 more races on the books for our 2024 Tornado World Championships here in Rimini
With the light breeze of about 7-8 knots joining us a bit later than expected, the race committee managed to complete two more races today, with wind variations between 25 and 70 degrees.
Speaking of results the duo of Kohlendorfer and Calvin climbed to first place Overall and first Mixed Crew. Reigning World Champions Trecul and Ferand are in second with the Steiners in third.
In the mixed category, Pavlisova Michaela and Marek Pavlis follow the Austrians and lead the Youth category.
On the social side of the event, all participants were welcomed at the daily after-race “aperitivo”, a must-cool off after 2 demanding sailing races and really hot conditions.
Not only that, it was the ITA President’s birthday today, celebrated under the Italian sun with a special cake and birthday chant!
