2015 World Championships – Day Four

Two races were completed today after the lay day. The weather was partly cloudy with a nice south wind. The wind direction was stable and its strength varied from 8 to 12 knots. The left side of the course was the favoured one. This was understood by most of the sailors, so the fastest ones won.

It was the Greek team of Dany Paschalidis and Kostas Trigonis who were dominant in both races for the new rig Tornado Open category. They seem to be unbeatable having scored 7 bullets in the 8 races!!

We have a close battle for the 2nd and 3rd places as Roland and Nahid Gaebler are in second, just 2 points ahead of Nikolaos Mavros and Alexandros Tagaropoulos.

Roland and Nahid are though first in the new rig Mixed Category with the Swiss team of Jean Marc Cuanillon and Gudrun Kolb in the second place. In the third place we have Zdenek Pavlis and Michaela Pavlisova who have equal points with the 4th Juergen and Sarah Jentsch.

For the Classic boats, Zakarian Michel and Ialenti Jeremy finished again in the first place but have just 2 points difference with Philippe and Pierrick Tollemer who stand in the 2nd place. Zakarian Michel and Ialenti Jeremy are in 3rd.

We have a lot of suspense for tomorrow as the fights will be tougher with stronger winds and bigger waves.
