Zhik UK Tornado TT Series
Results after 3 races

Zhik are sponsoring the 2011 UK Tornado TT Series.

The 2011 series includes the following races:

• East Coast Piers Race
• UK National Championships
• Forts Race
• Weston Cat Open

Prizes will be awarded based on the top three boats over the series and Zhik have given us some fantastic sailing gear for the lucky winners with an RRP of £2,000.

The competition is only open to UK Class Association members.

So far 3 out of the 4 races have been sailed. The East Coast Piers Race was as usual a very frustrating light winds race with big holes and lucky gusts of wind which took competitors up the race course.

The Tornado Nationals one week later were the complete opposite with gusty conditions of upto 30 knots.

The 3rd race of the series, the Forts Race was a Tornado Race with perfect gusty reaching conditions and a 15km downind leg out to sea and then a beat back. Phil Marks took the line honours for the race followed by Lee Harrison and Andrew Dowley.
