I discovered some pretty deep scraches on the bottom of the hulls as I took the boat apart for the winter on Saturday. What is the recommended way to fill the dings and fair the hulls? Once the surface is smooth, what is the recommended way to refinish the hull, gelcoat or paint?
While I'm at it, I was going to replace the CB gaskets. I've seen that many of the newer boats have full length gaskets. What advantage is there to a faired front CB slot and rear gasket to a full CB gasket?
And finally, the ISAF Tornado decals on the transom were painted over by the previous owner. Should I try and sand through the paint to get the decal to show again or can I get replacements?
Thanks,

Not sure about paint finishing but I know a couple of the GBR guys had problems with their plates not being visable at big events. I would recommend trying to get some more or sanding through the paint.
Cheers

Yeah, I was worried about that. There aren't any T events in the US on the horizon, so I'm not too worried, but while I'm fixing the bottoms, I figured I'd sort out everything else with the boat.
