2014 Italian Championships

The 2014 Tornado Open Italian Championship was held this year in Cesenatico from the 19.04.2014 until 21.04.2014.

The wind and weather conditions during the three days of competitions were challenging and well mixed.

On Saturday, after two cancelled starts due to a very shifty and light wind, two rainy races were run with a 10 to 12 knots coming from south to south-east direction.

On Sunday three sunny races were held. Starting with a very light east wind in first race and increasing up to 10 knots south-east wind in the third race.

On Monday only one race was necessary to finish the series of 6 races. With 14 knots south-east wind and choppy waves it was a fantastic day on the water.

After 6 races with one discard the team ITA 46 (Mazzini Mirco – Verdinelli Enrico) took the Italian championship.

Second place was achieved by the team ITA 263 (Clemente Paolo -Clemente Fabrizio) and the third place by the team ITA 26 (Matteini Marco – Ciavatta Andrea).
