2012 Tornado European Championships – Day Three

Day three of the Tornado European championships saw a mixture of wind, the second crash and the first capsize of the event.

We also had a new committee boat and race officer for the day with the previous race officer having to head to Texel.

Although the morning stated with a light breeze it quickly built to 15 knots and the first race was the best of the day seeing the most consistent breeze of the day. When it come to the second and third the wind had dropped ensuring the crews were in off the wire heading downwind. The wind was also shifting slightly across the course.

No prizes for guessing who took the race victories, again it was Team Redbull who are well on their way to the 5th European Championships in a row.

This evening the sailors headed to the local pub in force for dinner and drinks.

Tomorrow morning there will be two races back to back to complete the championships.
